To All The Peoples ... Today I Write This With A Heavy Heart.
Today Nine Years Ago, on October 9, 2014, My Daughter Sh'merea Was Shot And Killed. I Still Miss Her More and More Each Day! And Though I Have Found Some Solace With/In God, I Still Struggle To Put & Hold The Pieces Of My Heart & Mind Together Daily!
I Share This With Y'all In Part Because I Understand That There Is A Victim and A Family Who Has Suffered In My Case So, I Have Some Comprehension Of, If Not What, Then How It Feels To Lose Someone You Love Dearly.
Because People Tend To Be Of The Mind or Belief That "He Was Convicted Of It So, He Must Of Did it" And, Within That Is The Attitude That Whatever I Suffer, Whatever I Am Forced To Endure (Degradation, Abuse, Oppression, Loss), I Deserve It. No One Thinks About or Considers The Toll / Price A WRONGFUL CONVICTION Exacts & Takes On A WRONGFULLY CONVICTED MAN/WOMAN.
The Lose Of My Daughter Is Only One Of The Many Things I Have Been Forced To Suffer Through and Endure During These Past Twenty Six and A Half Years (26 1/2 yrs.) Of This (MY) WRONGFUL CONVICTION. Even Now When The Truth Of Not Only My Wrongful Conviction And All The Apparent Racism, Prejudice and Corruption Involved Can Be Exposed, Justice Served and My Pain & Suffering Brought To An End, I Am Still Forced To Endure ... However, As I Have Learned Over These Many, Long Years, God Has A Plan and, As A Good Friend Of Mines Tells Me "Remember/Read Proverbs 3:5,6". And On Days Like Today When The Dark Seems Darker, The Pain Feels Unbearable and The Suffering Is Without End In Sight, I Am Thankful I Have God In My Life.
